A senior, client-facing role responsible for driving revenue by leading the technical sales cycle for SAS Viya migration projects. This individual will leverage GenBioCa’s proprietary “Viya Migration Compass” to conduct executive-level discovery, showcase thought leadership, and translate complex architectural challenges into a compelling business case for migration.
Key Responsibilities
- Thought Leadership & Discovery: Lead initial client engagements to understand business drivers. Administer the 100-Point Assessment Questionnaire to build a Migration Readiness Scorecard.
- Solution Design & Value Articulation: Develop tailored migration strategies (Big Bang vs. Phased) and present the value of GenBioCa’s 3-pillar approach (Compass, POC/Sandbox, Accelerator).
- POC/Sandbox Strategy: Scope and define “Viya Test Drive” POC tiers (Quick Start, Validated Pilot) to de-risk the client’s decision and prove ROI.
- Proposal & RFP Management: Create detailed proposals, SOWs, and responses to RFPs, highlighting GenBioCa’s unique GxP/Pharma validation expertise.
- Cross-Functional Liaison: Act as the bridge between the sales team and the delivery team, ensuring a seamless handover post-sale.
- Market Presence: Publish whitepapers (e.g., “Pharma SAS Viya Migration Playbook”) and speak at industry events to establish GenBioCa’s leadership.
Essential Skills & Experience
- 10+ years in enterprise software pre-sales or consulting, specifically with SAS technologies.
- Deep understanding of the SAS 9.4 vs. Viya architectural differences (Microservices vs. Monolithic, CAS vs. Workspace Server).
- Experience in Pharma/Life Sciences with knowledge of GxP, 21 CFR Part 11, and clinical data standards.
- Proven ability to conduct executive-level discovery and build a strong “Migration Readiness Scorecard.”
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, capable of simplifying complexity for business leaders.
Desirable Certifications
- SAS Certified Professional: SAS 9.4 or SAS Viya Administration/Programming.
- ITIL or TOGAF for enterprise architecture frameworks.
