About the Role:
We are seeking a dynamic and well-connected Pre-Sales Consultant to drive the adoption of our services and platform solutions in the Pharmaceutical sector. Your primary mission will be to leverage your extensive market network to engage key decision-makers, generate qualified interest, and secure meetings that lead to successful deal closures. You will act as the crucial bridge between our market outreach and our Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) at GenBioCa, focusing on five core domains: Regulatory Affairs, Lab Informatics, Validation, Clinical Data Management (CDM), and Asset Management.
Key Objectives:
- Lead Generation & Meeting Conversion: Utilize your existing market connects to identify and engage potential clients. Convert interest into scheduled meetings and presentations.
- Market Intelligence: Serve as the ears on the ground, providing insights on market trends, competitor activity, and key players.
- Sales Support: Partner with SMEs to present tailored solutions, ensuring client needs are accurately translated into compelling proposals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prospecting & Outreach:
- Actively leverage your personal and professional network within the Indian and global Pharma industry to generate leads.
- Conduct targeted outreach to C-level executives, VPs, Directors, and Heads of departments in Regulatory, IT, Lab Operations, Clinical Development, and Engineering.
- Qualify leads based on interest, budget, and project timelines.
- Meeting Orchestration:
- “Setup and Secure”: Schedule and confirm meetings with potential clients based on expressed interest.
- “Attend and Present”: Co-present in meetings alongside a GenBioCa SME. You will set the commercial and strategic context, while the SME delves into technical and functional details.
- Prepare initial pitch decks and discussion points tailored to the client’s domain (e.g., Regulatory Compliance challenges, Lab Digitalization needs).
- Solution Positioning:
- Develop a high-level understanding of GenBioCa’s offerings in Regulatory Affairs, Lab Informatics, Validation, Clinical Data Management, and Asset Management to articulate value propositions effectively.
- Translate client pain points into initial solution frameworks for the SME team to elaborate.
- Pipeline Management:
- Maintain a robust pipeline of prospects and meetings.
- Work closely with the sales and delivery teams to ensure a smooth handover post-meeting for proposal building and deal closure.
Required Qualifications & Experience:
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years in the Pharmaceutical/Life Sciences industry, with at least 3-5 years in a pre-sales, business development, or client-facing consultant role.
- Domain Knowledge: Strong working knowledge of at least two of the following areas: Regulatory Affairs (Submissions, Compliance), Lab Informatics (LIMS, ELN), Computerized System Validation (CSV/GxP), Clinical Data Management, and Pharma Asset Management.
- Market Connects: Non-negotiable. A proven, active network of contacts within pharmaceutical companies, CROs, and CDMOs in India. Overseas connections are a significant plus.
- Skills:
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to engage in strategic conversations with senior stakeholders.
- Strong commercial acumen and understanding of the sales cycle.
- Self-starter, proactive, and able to work independently in a remote setting.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy, Life Sciences, Engineering, or related field. An MBA or advanced degree is preferred.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):
- Primary: Conversion rate of generated leads into confirmed meetings.
- Primary: Conversion rate of meetings/opportunities into successfully closed deals.
- Number of qualified leads generated per month/quarter.
- Growth and engagement strength of the target account list.
- Feedback from internal SME teams on meeting quality and lead qualification.
